A few weeks ago, PRSA launched its PRSAY blog in a big way. There was applause along with criticism. And there was much to learn. I realized that public relations professionals are craving more knowledge about and involvement in emerging media and social networking. I also realized that people outside of our industry expect public relations professionals to lead the way on this front.
PRSA Colorado is fortunate to have some very talented social media experts in our midst. So rather than wait for the next social media Webinar to learn more, let’s learn from each other, starting today, by taking a big collective leap.
This blog – which replaces the Newsline electronic newsletter – is just one aspect of our program. Maybe you are among the 193 people already following @prsacolo on Twitter. Perhaps you are one of the 82 fans of the PRSA Colorado Facebook group. Soon, you can also join us on LinkedIn. And we won’t stop there.
I hope you get on board to listen and participate. We have to do this because, as I mentioned earlier, we are expected to be leaders.
Gina Seamans, PRSA Colorado President
