Denver Gives Seeks Committee Volunteers to Assist Small Nonprofits

LargeDG_WWWLogoAs we all know, small nonprofits are on the front lines of providing services to our community. While they are mostly made up of volunteers or individual “staff” that simply have a passion for the programs and services that they offer, they usually lack resources such as working knowledge of the various aspects of business that are necessary to be successful, of course this includes public relations.

Denver Gives is a 501(c)3 dedicated to assisting small nonprofits with developing resources to allow them to become better and stronger organizations. Through our Charity Partnerships Committee, we hope to, on a monthly basis, bring a small nonprofit “to the table” and have various experts in different business disciplines review an evaluation on the nonprofit and then develop a “plan of action” for the nonprofit within their discipline and include possible resources that would be necessary to implement that “plan of action.” The nonprofits that are provided with this information and resources receive this service at no cost and are responsible for implementing the plan on their own. Our goal is to give them resources that they may not know exist or may not know how to access, or may not even know why they should be seeking these resources.

We ask our volunteers on this committee to commit to one year, meeting monthly, and developing resources for nonprofits on their own time.

To volunteer for this committee or to donate an hour of public relations consultation, please email kwhite@denvergives.org.
