It’s the height of the political season. Time to get informed, participate and have some fun…with beer!
Join fellow Colorado PRSA members and partners at the Denver Post, Denver 7, the Denver Press Club and DU’s Roosevelt Institute for three nonpartisan Political Debates designed to inform, educate and get Coloradans off the couch and participating. All sides of the issues will be presented and each debate is intended to engage the public in open, honest and respectful conversation.
Political Debate Topics include:
• Thursday, Sept. 29, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
$12 Minimum Wage, Amendment 70: Is raising the minimum wage good for workers or does it jeopardize jobs? What about Colorado’s businesses?
• Wednesday, Oct. 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m. ColoradoCare Amendment 69: Is providing healthcare for all Coloradans smart? Or, is it an unnecessary burden to taxpayers?
• Tuesday, Nov. 15, 6:30-8 p.m. Post-election, post-mortem: What did we learn?How will the election impact you and Colorado?
The Denver Post is hosting each moderated debate in its auditorium located at 101 W. Colfax Ave. After each debate, convene for #TaptheVote at the Denver Press Club for fun, friendly and informed conversation… and Beryl’s Microbrewery Beer!
