As many know, Denver newspaper reporter Penny Parker passed away on Jan. 2, 2016. PRSA Colorado member and colleague of Penny, Maggie Chamberlin Holben, APR said:
“Our personal passions intersected with the Today Show and See’s Candy. I’d notice something on the show (usually an outfit or hair style) and look forward to Penny’s take on it…she was spot on and often made me laugh out loud with her critiques. Her favorite at See’s was the St. Patrick’s Irish Potato Candy (fitting with her red hair). I remember one year when I posted a picture of my See’s potato (they’re only available for a short time each year) and she shared how her mom always made those a special treat when she was growing up in California. Hopefully she’ll get her hands on one in heaven this year…miss you, Penny!”
