Young Pros Host a New Game of Networking
That awkward moment when you check the time on your phone as you scan the room desperately looking for someone you know. We’ve all been there – especially at networking events. Well, the PRSA Colorado Young Professionals have a new take on meeting and greeting your fellow PR pros: Speed Networking.
Speed networking is a fun, fast-paced approach to networking that is sure to expand your professional circle. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, April 3, and when you walk into Sushi Hai at 5:30 you’ll line up for a 90-second face-to-face with each attendee. That minute and a half gives you enough room to chat about your profession, your hobbies and make a connection – without any stress. When the time is up, you’ll move down the line to chat with someone new. All are welcome – from recent grads to seasoned experts, PRSA members and non-members alike.
Plus, we’ll be giving away great door prizes such as gas cards, tickets to the exclusive YSL exhibit at the Denver Art Museum and a copy of “Normal Gets you Nowhere” – the second book on the YP Book Club calendar this year.
You don’t even need to practice your funny icebreakers – just don’t forget a stack of business cards.
