Hello PRSA Colorado,
Colorado State University PRSSA is hosting Sunrise for Students, an event that will raise money for students attending the PRSSA 2011 National Conference in Orlando, Florida. In the past, students have taken advantage of wonderful educational and networking opportunities at this event.
Sunrise for Students will feature a “Baby Boomers vs. Millennials” point-counterpoint debate and a panel discussion between baby boomers and millennials.
Are baby boomers and millennials really that different when it comes to the workplace? Decide for yourself and take a look at this interesting article from the Pew Research Center on the topic, “The Millennials: Confident. Connected. Open to Change.”
Susan Walton, MA, APR, associate professor of public relations at Brigham Young University, will lead a lively discussion that delves into the inner psyche of these two dynamic workplace generations. Walton recently wrote “Demonstrating value to boomer bosses: A memo to millennials,” for PRSA’s Spring 2011 The Strategist magazine.
